Megan Foster and Andrew Wilkinson

Dear Annette and Jeff,
Just a short note to say thank youfor all your help in assisting us with our wonderful wedding in December 2011. We had such a fabulous day and people are still raving about it!.
The food and location was just great, just what we wanted. Your floor manager, Robbie, was absolutely lovely and the reception went so well
The sun came out for the afternoon but we felt that with everything organised so well it wouldn't have mattered!
Thanks again for helping with our special day
Kind regards
Megan and Andrew.

PS. I hear Katie Rivers is emailing you a few photos. They are lovely and the light in the garden was just divine,

Melanie Hodge and Antony Loomans

Hi Annette,
I just wanted to send a quick thank you for all your hard work before and on our wedding day. We were so pleased with our wedding & the venue in general. i‘ve attached some photos, the shots were amazing & green, especially after all that rain!
Thank you for going above & beyond, for dealing with the thunderstorm so calmly & helping our guests with umbrellas and drying of shirts and so on. We really appreciated all that you’ve done.
Love.
Melanie Hodge.

Hi Annette & Jeff,
Thank you both very much for a very enjoyable wedding venue – we enjoyed the food & the wine of course but most of all the overall atmosphere of Woodbyne - you have a great venue which worked so well on the day. It was hard to imagine how it would all look, but when we saw the final set up, we were very pleased.
Once again – thank you also for the way you were able to recover the situation, with such good humour, after the rain event.
All the best for the future.
Terry & Cherrill Hodge.

Anna Nudler and Ben Yabsley

Just sending a little something to thank you both so very much for helping make our big day as special as it was.
In our eyes it was just perfect and all our guests have been raving about Woodbyne!
Thank you so much for everything.
Anna and Ben

Many thanks for sending through all the information. We're very excited.
We looked at many venues in the Hunter Valley and some on the South Coast and Woodbyne is just in a league of its own.
Kind regards
Melyssa McMaster

I just wanted to say thank you for all your help in making Saturday the most beautiful day Rochelle & Niv could have possibly wished for.
We all had a lovely day even though the rain interrupted the proceedings just a bit.
The food at the Wedding and the breakfasts were second to none.
Gary & I were most impressed and if we are ever down that way again we would not hesitate to come and stay.
Thank you once again
Anne Taylor (Brisbane)

A Fresh Day of Love - Studio for Brides

Rain threatened to intrude, but luck shined down as Louise Friedland and Graeme Bell made their vows in a Shakespearean-style garden setting. Louise Friedland tells how nothing could put a dampener on their perfect day.
Rather than remain city-bound on their wedding day, Louise Friedland, a graphic designer and fiancée Graeme Bell, an architect, decided to make an event of their marriage, and escape to the beautiful Woodbyne Boutique Hotel in Jaspers brush, about two hours drive south of Sydney, on the NSW South coast. It was close enough that people could still get there but it was still a weekend away for everyone - says Louise Friedland.
Not only did the beautiful location, named after a line in William Shakespeares A Midsummer Nights Dream, lend itself to a ceremony that was stylish without being stuffy, it also had a family connection for Louise Friedland, as she explains. - My mum - Alison Friedland - wife of John Friedland - had her fiftieth there a few years ago, and it is just one of those places. The first time I arrived there I said - Oh, this is where I want to get married! It is just such a magical place you just think it is the perfect, perfect setting. So we all stayed there for the weekend and hired out all the rooms and had it all to ourselves.”
The wedding day was almost a soggy event, as the long-dry NSW skies broke the drought and the heavens opened on the Friday before the wedding. - I had sort of accepted the fact that Oh, we will have a rainy wedding day, it is still special, but it was great - at five oclock the sun came out. It was amazing, it came out literally for about an hour and then when we went inside it started pouring again!
The ceremony took place in the stunning central courtyard at Woodbyne. - It was just a perfect formal space for an outdoor casual wedding, - recalls Louise Friedland. After the ceremony, Louise Friedland and Graeme Bell then strolled around the venues gardens, an ideal location for scenic wedding pictures. - Everyone had drinks and canapés out there in the courtyard while we went off and had some photos taken in the grounds.
- It was nice not to have to go to very far, - she says. I can not imagine anything worse than having to go off and have pictures and come back.
After the photo shoot, it was back inside for the reception at Woodbynes Garden Room. The couple made their entrance to the strains of legendary jazz singer Billie Holiday singing - At Last -, and then there was much revelry and dancing until the reception concluded.

James and I want to thank you so much for everything you did for our wedding. We had an absolutely perfect day and people are still talking about how lovely the venue was and how absolutely wonderful the food was. Thank you Annette for the fantastic work you did with the cake of cheese. It looked fabulous!
We really appreciate all you did for us and how easy the process was. It made for smooth sailing on the day and we were really able to relax and enjoy ourselves.
It was so lovely to stay at Woodbyne with out families and James and I hope to one day return for a weekend away as it is truly splendid.
Again, thank you for everything.
Kind regards,
Linda (& James)

Helen Biven

Thank you for the most beautiful wedding ... everything was perfect ... the food, the accommodation and of course the perfect setting. I didn't take many photos ... thought I'd leave the happy snapping to others and to Ross. But here is a sample of the few I took ... Love Helen

PS ... thankyou for the help with the cake ... your magic touch!

Kate Bloxsom (Hancock)

I did think about having the wedding in Sydney but just love the south coast. We decided we didn’t want to drive around in traffic and be in a place where lots of other weddings were going on.”
The ceremony was held in Woodbyne’s garden with a red carpet across the lawn serving as the aisle. Red and white rose petals were scattered beneath the juniper tree to form a carpet where Kate & Ryan exchanged their vows.
A string quartet played the Processional and Recessional during the ceremony and later entertained the guests as they enjoyed drinks and canapés in the garden while the bridal party had their photos taken.
The reception was in the hotel gallery room and throughout the evening guests continued to move between the reception area and the romantically lit garden. A marquee with a dance floor was set up outside with a jazz band providing the music.
“It was a very happy day, a perfect day,” Kate recalls. “Although I worked up until the Tuesday before the wedding, it all went very smoothly. I knew what I wanted – there was not much indecision or shopping around – and then I found the professional people to do it for me.”

Paul and I just wanted to send you both a note of sincere thanks for all your patience and help with the organising and smooth running of our wedding.
Your hospitality was first class and your understanding of our circumstances was very touching and appreciated.
We had a fantastic weekend and wonderful day and the atmosphere of Woodbyne and the professionalism of both of you and your staff will be remembered by us always.
We received our wedding photos last week and we could not be happier with images capturing the day, the Woodbyne gardens and the school house atmosphere.
